Day 22 - 23
In Buena Vista. Visited a coffee plantation and took the tour. The coffee was quite good and from the plantation hotel (pictured with the swimming pool) you could see the valley below and get a true understanding of why the town is called good views. They didn't sell coffee in the whole bean there, which is too bad because I would have liked to bring some home, but maybe I will find it in a store here. Bruna, the dog, even got to come on the tour with us.
After lunch at the plantation we headed back through the center of town to go back to our house which is on the other side and were lucky enough to arrive at the plaza just as Betty pulled up in her taxi from Santa Cruz. She hadn't eaten so we sat in a restaurant while she had lunch. I got to watch the children playing with their tinted water and spraying each other. It looked like a blast running around in the heat playing with water and shaving cream. I definitely understand why young people enjoy carnival.
