Day 13 continued
After coffee, Betty and I went to join MaryBetty and Jeronimo (I have to apologise for previously spelling his name wrong) at the birthday party of the daughter of MaryBettys half sister which was exactly like any 9 year olds birthday in the US only Hannah Montana was in spanish. The girls sang happy birthday in spanish, english and in german because they go to a school that teaches all three. Everyone was so friendly and it made me love the people of Santa Cruz even more. I am living with an incredible family who not only welcomes me to join in their life, but their extended family welcomes me too which is amazing to me. I am still getting used to greeting people with a kiss on the cheek, it seems odd to be that close to someone you have just met, but also kind of nice. They keep telling me that Santa Cruz is more relaxed and friendly than La Paz which should be an interesting contrast for Mike and I when we travel.
After the birthday party, on the way home, we were passing a park with a water show set to music so we stopped and caught the end and then walked around the park until it was closing. The picture of Jeronimo is between the party and the water show, he is wet because he got a water gun at the party and was entertaining himself by squirting the water gun, mostly at himself which was adorable.
